What do you use to mount your cameras?

QUESTION:

What do you use to mount your cameras?

ANSWER:

The NLC IR camera came with a pathetic stand and screw-in mount, so I used the wide base of the Sony wireless camera to keep it steady. It sits on a set of shelves right in the middle of some pots and pans.

The Panasonic rests on its base on a table. Nardo bumps it with his cheek.

The toycam is sitting on a small wodden box. Nardo bumps it with his cheek now and then.

The skycam is twist tied into place on the back of the iron chair. It sometimes gets knocked around by our opening and shutting the book shelves.

The Pipercam is sitting on a base on the second iron chair in the room. Nobody jumps up there.

The Orbit sits on a wooden table I use as a mouse pad rest. Nardo sometimes jumps on that table and shakes the camera.

The Hawking camera is mounted on a Gorillapod so I can clamp it to the fence or the umbrella on the patio. This has got to be the best damn inexpensive versatile camera mount on the face of the earth for quickly affixing a webcam to a pole or something.

With all these cameras all over the place, my wife is starting to bemoan the amount of shelf space some of them are taking up.
