Why do the orange cats appear white on the IR camera?

QUESTION:

Why do the orange cats appear white on the IR camera?

ANSWER:

It's a night-vision camera, so objects lose their color. A reddish-orange tabby cat like Nardo or Frisky appears white.

Piper, who is a brown tabby cat, appears dark.

I'd suggest asking Dr. Science this one... he'll come up with a funnier answer.
